Tim Frost

Manager - Interface Consulting

Tim leads Interface Consulting within Sterling’s Utilities and Assets stream, drawing on over a decade of hands-on project coordination experience across the Victorian rail environment. Since joining Sterling in 2018, Tim has delivered complex access and interface solutions across the Metro, V/Line and ARTC networks, and now oversees consulting operations that enable safer, more streamlined project delivery in high-risk rail corridors.

Before moving into rail interface roles, Tim built a strong foundation in plant and operations management across the construction and resource sectors. His practical grounding, combined with his qualification as a Track Force Protection Coordinator, positions him to navigate the intricacies of rail safety systems, stakeholder communications, and on-site supervision with confidence.

Tim’s project experience spans high-profile corridor works such as the Western Outer Ring Main (WORM) Pipeline Investigations, the Bendigo fire services upgrade, and pedestrian and platform works at Newport Depot. He has worked across multiple Authorised Rail Operators (AROs), supporting teams with access applications, Safeworking planning, and hazard assessments under tight program constraints.

Since stepping into a leadership role in 2023, Tim has continued to champion interface excellence across Sterling’s projects - ensuring that even the most logistically challenging works are executed with clarity, compliance, and control, while helping drive the company’s capability growth and setting new standards for delivery across the corridor.
