Sterling’s Engineering and Construction Teams were engaged by ARTC to complete a structural analysis and remediation of Sims Street Bridge.
In stage 1 of this project, Sterling’s Engineering division performed intensive structural analysis on the Sims Street Bridge, which is a composite structure built in the late 1920’s. This +90 year old heritage structure is operated and maintained by ARTC and located over the Maribyrnong River in West Melbourne.
Following our report with remediation recommendations driven from the investigation, Stage 2 commenced. This process included remediation of concrete spalling, steel treatment and bearing maintenance. Sterling’s ability to service our clients from end to end was a highlight of this project, with ARTC complimentary of our service offering and breadth of capability.
