Chris Parkinson

Chris is the Director of Sterling’s Engineering and Asset Management division which undertakes field inspections, load rating assessments and design of transport infrastructure assets, such as bridges and culverts. Chris provides strategic leadership to the division and technical leadership on key client engagements such as the multi-year, network-wide inspections program for ARTC.

Chris has been deeply involved in signature infrastructure projects across Australia, such as the New Gateway Bridge in Queensland, the Djerriwarrh Creek Bridge in Victoria, and the Ringwood Station Upgrade in Victoria. His engineering technical experience extends across a variety of bridge and infrastructure forms, including prestressed concrete, balanced cantilever bridges, and concrete and steel box girders. More broadly, Chris’ roles within the industry have included design delivery, project management, team leadership and business development.

Chris holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and bachelor’s degrees in engineering and Science from the University of Melbourne.  He is Chartered with Engineers Australia.
