Sterling has long established connections with Universities and for many years has been offering Undergraduates opportunities for Industry Placement prior to them completing their degree.

With the State and Federal governments investment over the next decade in transport infrastructure projects there’s no better time to be a part of the transport industry.
What is involved?

The placement offers the student the possibility to gain practical work experience for a duration of one to four months (part time or full time depending on availability) and validate their respective units for their degree. The internship provides the student with hands on experience facing real life challenges met by the industry in civil, structural and project engineering.

All our internship are supervised by senior engineers who will ensure the students are provided with all the required support and tools needed to complete their assigned work. The work involved in the placement depends on the current work requirements in our organisation but will include some or all of the following activities: desktop studies, calculations or report writing, site work in the form of structure inspections or construction site supervision. In all cases, the student will have opportunities to interact with Sterling at all levels of seniority and discipline.

Where do I sign up?
